Well the third and final round of the triple crown was held on Sunday 18/7 at Samford Show.
There was again the Mini Greys, an impressive turn out of lowlines, and unfortunately only 1 Dexter stud remaining in the triple crown hunt, as everyone else had dropped out along the way.
Not knowing exactly how the points works causes alot of speculation etc, and unfort some people drop out early thinking that they do not have a chance, but the end results seem to suggest that consistency is what really counts in the long run for the points.
Interbreed Male at Samford went to a Lowline Bull of Margo Hayes, exhibited by Beenleigh State High School. Interbreed Female went to a Lowline cow/calf from Tanview
Drumroll please....the overall results......
Triple Crown Female Winner - SIlver Fern Lady Ella - a dexter heifer
Triple Crown Male Winner - tied - Silver Fern So Elite, a young dexter bull, and Vitulus Exceptionable, a young lowline bull.
So, a huge congrats must go to the Silver Fern Dexter Stud for their success, and here is to hoping we have a lot of dexter studs supporting the triple crown next year to keep the dexter run going!!!!!
